Hope Therapy Newsletter
July monthly recap
Things have been winding down a bit as the summer heat grows more and more intense. However, we are still extremely thankful for the people that take time out of their day to come and volunteer, participate, and help solicit new volunteers and donors!
Rosie’s under saddle!
Early this month, our 3.5 year old Gypsy Vanner, Rosie, started working under saddle! She has been a great little student for Shelby (who also backed & trained Irish from late 2017-early 2018) and is currently working on learning her leads!
She walks, trots, canters, halts, turns, stands to be mounted from the step or ramp, and is going to be a wonderful therapy horse in the coming years!
Be sure to check out the video below!
KOHL'S Toys for Hope
We want to give a huge shout out and a hearty thank you to our friends at Kohl’s! We had a Kohl’s Toys for Hope donation event and it was a huge success.
Thanks again everyone!
Rest In Peace
Our lovely therapy rabbit, Pat (Patticake) has crossed the rainbow bridge after 10 wonderful years with us here at Hope Therapy. She was born on February 19th in 2009, and May 2018 she retired with one of our beloved volunteers, Cindy, and bonded very closely with Cindy's rabbit, Gimli.
She passed peacefully with Lap of Love, and will be missed by our staff, volunteers, patients, and by the many friends she made over the years, both people, rabbits, and more.
